Pure Water - Pure Love

This month’s Reach Out Sunday will focus on filling water bottles with change and bills to raise money and awareness for Pure Water - Pure Love, an organization that provides missionaries all over the world with water filters and clean water wells for their area.

Check out the Welcome Center for bottles and instructions. You are welcome to use your own bottles! Remember to bring back your filled bottles on March 29th!

Food for the Holidays

This Reach Out Sunday, we will fill the pantry of Bixby Community Outreach Center! This organization feeds approximately 250 families per month. Out goal for this reach out event is to provide 300 bags to the BCOC.

The Bixby Community Outreach Center is "not just a hand out, it's a hand up." They are very careful to meet people's basic needs through a relational process. New Beginnings is not equipped with a food pantry because we rely on the proficiency of the BCOC to take care of anyone that needs basic, life necessities.

We have lists available here or at the Welcome Centers in the church for the suggested items that they are in need of. We are collecting the bags every Sunday of November in the "Reach Out" trailer which is stationed under the awning. Bags can also be dropped off in the office during Wednesday evening programming, ELC hours, and normal office hours.

For more information, email info(at) or cal 918-366-6700.

• Easter Egg Hunt at Laura Dester Center

On Easter Sunday evening, we will provide a fun Easter celebration with inflatables, an egg hunt, games and hot dogs for the children who are staying at the Laura Dester Center.  In preparation for serving these kids, we will be filling bags with new clothes.
NB Young Adults have committed to the Laura Dester outreach event and there are no more spots available for this event.

• Serve on Easter Sunday Morning.

Not only will we be having two services at 9:30a and 11:00a for adults in the Worship Center but we will also be having two services at 9:30 and 11:00a in the Chapel for the children. Pastor Travis and Genesis Kidz volunteers are working hard to transform our Chapel into a TV studio. They will present the gospel as the "Good News." New Beginnings is providing all members with invitation cards to assist them while inviting their neighbors, coworkers, classmates, and anyone that they do life with to join us on March 31st. Then, on Sunday, serve them by being an usher, greeter, or parking attendant. Since we will not be having any classes or D-groups, members should be free to serve for one service and attend the other.

This Easter may be the first day that some people darken the door of a church through visiting a family member or being invited by a church member. You're invited to be the welcoming face of New Beginnings on the most attended Sunday of the year. As Jeff Berg calls it, "The Super Bowl of Church!"

Reach Out to Foster Children of Oklahoma

During both worship services on 9/30/12, we will learn about the crisis facing Oklahoma with regards to children in shelters.  We'll also learn what the church can do to help solve this problem.  We'll be introduced to Project 111 and be given an opportunity to serve our modern-day orphans.  From 4:30-6:30, we will come together as a church family to provide a fun night for foster families with free haircuts, family photos, crafts, games and a meal.  As we fellowship together, relationships will form and we’ll be able to make long-term commitments to walk alongside foster families and serve from our hearts!  You won't want to miss this 5th Sunday as it is an opportunity for your family to reach out and make a difference!
